Description

1949-S Kennedy Half Dollar, MS-67 NGC. This exceptional example of the 1949-S half dollar represents a significant offering for collectors of mid-20th century United States coinage. The San Francisco Mint issue from this era continues to attract strong collector interest, particularly in higher grades where examples become increasingly scarce. The coin has been certified and graded MS-67 by NGC (Certification #8663945009), indicating a specimen with exceptional eye appeal and minimal surface imperfections. At this grade level, the coin displays lustrous mint surfaces with excellent strike detail and only trivial marks consistent with the assigned numerical grade. The 1949-S is a key date in the half dollar series, with limited quantities surviving in gem condition, making this MS-67 example particularly desirable. For the serious collector seeking a well-preserved example of this important San Francisco Mint issue, this certified piece offers both numismatic significance and the assurance of professional authentication and grading.
