Description

1945-D Mercury Dime, Full Bands, NGC MS-67. This exceptional 1945-D dime represents a significant offering for Mercury dime specialists and type collectors alike. Struck at the Denver Mint during the final year of Mercury dime production, this coin exhibits the Full Bands designation on the reverse fasces, indicating sharp, complete horizontal lines—a key detail mark that distinguishes premium examples from more common specimens of this issue. Graded NGC MS-67, this piece displays the lustrous mint surfaces and well-preserved strike characteristics expected of premium-quality coins from this era. The 1945-D is a readily available date in the Mercury dime series, though examples achieving the Full Bands designation at this grade level command respect among collectors seeking high-quality representatives of the final wartime coinage period.
