Description
1926-S Peace Dollar, NGC MS-66. This impressive Peace Dollar represents a significant example from the final years of the series' initial run. The 1926-S mintmark variety, struck at the San Francisco Mint, offers collectors an important date in the Peace Dollar sequence with solid eye appeal and strong technical qualities. The coin exhibits the characteristic design elements of the Peace Dollar series, featuring Lady Liberty on the obverse and an eagle at rest on the reverse—a design that symbolized America's return to peace following World War I. The MS-66 grade from NGC indicates an exceptionally well-preserved specimen with minimal imperfections, displaying lustrous surfaces and sharp striking detail consistent with the finest examples of this issue. The 1926-S is a moderately scarce San Francisco Mint issue, making this NGC-certified example an attractive acquisition for Peace Dollar specialists and type collectors alike. The MS-66 designation places this coin in the upper echelon of the grade distribution, offering both numismatic significance and visual appeal. NGC Certification Number: 8811255007
