1941-D 10C, FB

Description

1941-D 10C, FB — NGC MS-67. A splendid example of this popular Mercury dime issue from the Denver Mint. The 1941-D is a readily available date in the Mercury series, but examples in this caliber are considerably scarcer. This specimen exhibits the sharp striking and lustrous surfaces characteristic of premium-grade pieces from this era. The designation FB (Full Bands) indicates that both horizontal bands on the fasces reverse are fully separated and clearly defined—a key striking characteristic that collectors actively seek in Mercury dimes. At the MS-67 level, this piece displays exceptional eye appeal with minimal imperfections visible to the unaided eye, representing a significant premium over more common grades.
