Description

1947 10¢ (Dime), Full Bands, NGC MS-68. This exceptional 1947 Roosevelt dime represents a premium example of the early post-war coinage period. Graded MS-68 by NGC (Certificate #2084883010), this piece displays the superior eye appeal and technical quality expected at this elevated numerical grade. The Full Bands designation indicates sharp, well-defined horizontal lines across the torch on the reverse—a key diagnostic feature that collectors and specialists actively seek. At the MS-68 level, this dime exhibits lustrous surfaces with minimal contact marks, excellent strike definition, and the bright, original finish characteristic of well-preserved specimens from this era. The 1947 dime holds particular appeal to Roosevelt dime specialists and type collectors alike. This starting bid of $1,050 reflects the strong collector demand for high-grade examples with desirable Full Bands designation, particularly in the MS-68 range where specimens become increasingly scarce.
