Description

1934-D Mercury Dime, Full Bands, NGC MS67. This exceptional 1934-D dime represents a significant offering for Mercury dime specialists and type collectors alike. Struck at the Denver Mint during the final years of the series, this piece exhibits the desirable Full Bands designation on the reverse, indicating sharp, complete horizontal lines on the fasces—a hallmark of superior strike quality and eye appeal that collectors actively seek. The NGC MS67 grade reflects a coin of outstanding quality with lustrous, well-preserved surfaces and minimal contact marks. The Full Bands designation elevates this specimen considerably above typical examples from this date and mintmark, as many 1934-D dimes fail to achieve the strike sharpness necessary for this coveted designation. The Denver Mint dimes of this era are particularly challenging to locate in high grades with full reverse definition. This offering presents an excellent opportunity to acquire a premium example of a key date Mercury dime with the technical excellence that serious collectors demand. The combination of the scarcer Denver Mint provenance, superior strike, and exceptional preservation makes this a worthy addition to any advanced collection. NGC Certificate #8300489003
