Description

1927 $2 1/2 Gold Quarter Eagle, NGC MS-65. This 1927 Quarter Eagle represents a desirable example from the final decade of regular circulation gold coinage in the United States. The $2.50 gold piece, commonly known as the Quarter Eagle, was a staple of American commerce and remained in production through 1929 before being suspended during the Great Depression. The piece is graded NGC MS-65, indicating a choice uncirculated specimen with excellent eye appeal and minimal surface disturbance. At this grade level, the coin displays attractive luster and well-preserved details throughout, with only minor imperfections visible under magnification. The 1927 date falls within the later years of the Indian Head Quarter Eagle design period (1908-1929), making well-preserved examples increasingly sought after by both type collectors and date specialists. Certification: NGC #65711704. Starting Bid: $1,375
