Description
1995-W Proof Gold Eagle, 1/4 oz, NGC PF70. This exceptional example of the 1995-W Proof Gold Eagle represents one of the finest specimens of this classic American bullion coin. Struck at the West Point Mint, this quarter-ounce gold proof displays the iconic design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens on the obverse and Miley Busiek's heraldic eagle reverse that has defined the American Eagle program since its inception in 1986. Graded NGC PF70, this coin achieves the highest designation for proof coinage, indicating flawless surfaces with exceptional eye appeal and pristine strike quality. The 1995-W proof quarter-ounce Gold Eagle remains a significant issue within the American Eagle proof program, sought by both type collectors and those pursuing complete date runs. The ultra-cameo contrast characteristic of West Point proof strikes is beautifully preserved on this example. *NGC Certification #9891*. Starting Bid: $1,200
