Description

1925-D $2 1/2 Gold Quarter Eagle, NGC MS-65. This 1925-D Quarter Eagle represents a desirable example from the final decade of the classic Indian Head Quarter Eagle series. Struck at the Denver Mint, as indicated by the "D" mintmark, this coin displays the characteristic design by sculptor Bela Pratt featuring Lady Liberty in profile on the obverse and an eagle perched on an olive branch on the reverse. The coin has been certified by NGC with a grade of MS-65, indicating a specimen with excellent eye appeal and minimal wear. At this grade level, the coin exhibits full mint luster with only light, scattered contact marks consistent with careful handling. The strike is sharp, with strong definition on Liberty's profile and the eagle's plumage. The 1925-D is a readily available date in the Quarter Eagle series, though examples in Mint State condition command collector interest. Certificate Number: 1654493008. Starting Bid: $1,425
