1928-S 25C, FH

Description

1928-S Standing Liberty Quarter, Full Head. This exceptional 1928-S Standing Liberty Quarter represents a significant find for serious collectors of early 20th-century U.S. coinage. The San Francisco mint mark denotes production during a year when quarter mintages were relatively modest, and the achievement of Full Head designation—indicating complete strike definition on Lady Liberty's profile—elevates this coin considerably above typical examples of the date and variety. Graded NGC MS-68, this specimen demonstrates outstanding preservation with lustrous surfaces and minimal contact marks consistent with the grade. The Full Head designation is particularly noteworthy, as strike quality can vary considerably across Standing Liberty Quarter issues, making well-struck examples highly desirable to both date collectors and type collectors seeking superior eye appeal. The reverse displays crisp eagle details with excellent definition throughout. The 1928-S occupies an important position within the Standing Liberty Quarter series, and specimens of this caliber with the coveted Full Head designation command considerable collector attention. This coin represents an ideal opportunity to acquire a high-grade example of this historically significant issue with exceptional strike characteristics. NGC Certificate #6073052005
