1946-S 50C

Description

1946-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar, NGC MS-67. This exceptional 1946-S half dollar represents a premium example of the final year of the iconic Walking Liberty design. Struck at the San Francisco Mint, this coin exhibits the strong strike quality and luster characteristic of the best examples from this late-series date. The NGC MS-67 grade reflects outstanding preservation with minimal contact marks and excellent eye appeal. The reverse displays particularly sharp details on Liberty's outstretched hand and the eagle's plumage, while the obverse shows crisp definition throughout. Original mint luster remains vibrant across both sides, a desirable attribute for coins from this era. The 1946-S represents the penultimate year of production before the Walking Liberty design was retired in favor of the Franklin half dollar in 1948. High-grade examples of this date continue to attract serious collectors seeking to complete their Walking Liberty sets with superior specimens. This MS-67 offering represents an attractive opportunity for the discerning collector. *NGC Certificate #8663662001*
