2016-W Proof Gold Buffalo 1 oz FS Bison Label

Description

2016-W Proof Gold Buffalo 1 oz FS Bison Label. This exceptional 2016-W Proof Gold Buffalo represents the pinnacle of modern American precious metal coinage. Struck at the West Point Mint and graded PCGS PR70, this one-ounce gold proof achieves the highest possible numerical grade, indicating flawless surfaces and exceptional eye appeal. The "FS" (Full Saturation) designation confirms the coin displays the full original mint frosting and mirror fields that characterize premium proof coinage. The American Buffalo gold proof series, introduced in 2006, has become highly sought after by both gold investors and numismatic collectors. Each coin features James Earlon Fraser's iconic design: the obverse depicting a Native American profile and the reverse showcasing a magnificent American bison. The 2016-W production represents a relatively limited mintage from the West Point facility, particularly in this perfect grade designation. A PCGS PR70 example is exceptionally rare, with only the most carefully preserved specimens achieving this elite status. The Bison Label variety adds additional collector interest to this already desirable issue. This coin represents an outstanding opportunity for collectors seeking a perfect-grade modern gold proof in the highly collectible Buffalo series.
