1945-S 50C

Description

1945-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar, NGC MS-67. This exceptional 1945-S half dollar represents a premium example of the final year of the iconic Walking Liberty design. Struck at the San Francisco Mint during the final months of World War II, this coin showcases the artistry of Adolph A. Weinman's celebrated obverse and reverse designs that graced American half dollars from 1916 through 1947. The NGC MS-67 grade indicates a near-gem specimen with exceptional eye appeal and minimal imperfections. At this grade level, the coin displays sharp striking detail with full luster and excellent preservation. The 1945-S is a moderately scarce date within the Walking Liberty series, with relatively modest mintage figures compared to other years of the era. Examples in this caliber of preservation are increasingly difficult to locate, particularly for collectors seeking high-grade specimens of the final years of this beloved design. This certified piece represents an outstanding opportunity for Walking Liberty enthusiasts and collectors focused on late-date half dollars, offering both numismatic significance and the aesthetic appeal that has made the Walking Liberty design one of the most admired in United States coinage.
