Description
1947 Dime, Full Bands, NGC MS-68. This exceptional 1947 Mercury Dime has been certified by NGC as MS-68, representing an outstanding example of this popular date. The coin exhibits the coveted Full Bands designation, indicating sharp, well-defined horizontal lines on the reverse fasces—a characteristic highly sought by Mercury Dime specialists and modern type collectors alike. The MS-68 grade places this piece well above average circulated examples and demonstrates excellent preservation with minimal contact marks or imperfections visible to the unaided eye. Mercury Dimes from the 1940s remain consistently popular due to their elegant design and the relative scarcity of high-grade examples, particularly those with Full Bands designation.
