1950-S 25C

Description

1950-S Washington Quarter | NGC MS-67 | Gem Uncirculated Key Date. This exceptional 1950-S Washington Quarter represents a pristine example of a challenging mid-century silver quarter from the San Francisco mint. Struck during a period of transitional post-World War II coinage production, this gem-quality specimen showcases remarkable numismatic preservation and outstanding technical quality. Graded a remarkable NGC MS-67, this coin exhibits extraordinary mint state characteristics with exceptional luster, strike quality, and eye appeal. The surfaces display minimal, if any, contact marks, representing a superior representation of this relatively low mintage issue. The bright, satiny surfaces suggest exceptional preservation and careful handling since its original minting. The 1950-S quarter is considered a moderately scarce date in the Washington quarter series, with relatively limited mint state survivors. This NGC-certified example would serve as an outstanding addition to a specialized date collection, type set, or high-grade Washington quarter registry set. The pristine MS-67 grade places this coin well above typical survivors from its production year.
