1947 50C

Description

1947 Half Dollar, NGC MS-67. This 1947 50C represents an excellent example of mid-20th century American coinage. Graded MS-67 by NGC (Certificate #8664105009), this half dollar exhibits strong eye appeal and well-preserved surfaces consistent with the grade. The 1947 half dollar is a popular date among collectors of Franklin half dollars, the iconic series that ran from 1948 to 1963. However, this earlier example predates the Franklin design, making it part of the preceding Walking Liberty Half Dollar series. At the MS-67 level, this coin displays minimal imperfections and retains its original luster and detail, making it an attractive addition to type sets or date collections. Coins graded MS-67 occupy an important position in the collector market, offering high-quality specimens that are more accessible than their finer counterparts while still representing exceptional preservation. This piece is well-suited for the discerning collector seeking quality examples of pre-modern American half dollars.
