1926-S S$1

Description

1926-S Peace Dollar, NGC MS-65. This 1926-S Peace Dollar represents a significant offering from the San Francisco Mint's final year of Peace dollar production before the series was halted. The coin exhibits the characteristic design by Anthony de Francisci, featuring Lady Liberty on the obverse and an eagle at rest on the reverse—a design that has endured as one of America's most beloved coinage types. Graded MS-65 by NGC (Certificate #8663958009), this example displays the lustrous surfaces and sharp striking detail expected of a high-grade Mint State specimen. The 1926-S is a moderately scarce date, particularly in higher grades, making certified examples in this condition desirable to both Peace dollar specialists and general silver dollar collectors. The Peace dollar series remains a cornerstone of American numismatic collecting, and this San Francisco Mint specimen offers an excellent opportunity to acquire a quality example of this iconic series.
