Description

1936 50C Bridgeport Commemorative Half Dollar, NGC MS-67. This exceptional example of the 1936 Bridgeport Sesquicentennial Commemorative Half Dollar represents one of the classic issues from America's golden age of commemorative coinage. The piece has been certified by NGC and graded MS-67, indicating a near-gem specimen with minimal surface disturbance and excellent eye appeal. Certificate Number: 8983235002. The Bridgeport commemorative was issued to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Connecticut city's founding. This particular coin displays the lustrous surfaces and sharp striking characteristics expected of high-grade examples from this issue. The MS-67 designation places this coin well above typical market examples, making it particularly desirable for both type collectors and specialists in commemorative coinage. Commemorative half dollars from the 1930s remain popular with collectors due to their historical significance, artistic designs, and the relative scarcity of examples in premium condition. An MS-67 specimen such as this represents an opportunity to acquire a quality example of this important commemorative issue.
