1947 10C, FB

Description

1947 10C, FB – NGC MS-68. This exceptional 1947 Mercury Dime represents the finest quality of this popular series, having achieved a near-gem designation from NGC. The "FB" designation indicates Full Bands on the reverse fasces, a hallmark of sharp striking and careful preservation that collectors actively seek in Mercury Dimes. The MS-68 grade places this specimen well above typical circulated examples and demonstrates outstanding luster and eye appeal. The 1947 dime is a readily available date in the Mercury series, with over 121 million pieces struck. However, finding examples in this superior condition with Full Bands is considerably more challenging. The NGC MS-68 grade reflects exceptional strike quality and brilliant, original mint luster with minimal surface disturbance—characteristics that define premium examples of this classic American dime. This lot is accompanied by an NGC encapsulation (Certificate #2084883010), providing third-party authentication and grade verification. The combination of high grade, Full Bands designation, and strong eye appeal makes this an attractive offering for Mercury Dime specialists and type collectors seeking quality examples of 1940s coinage.
