2018-W Proof Silver Eagle 1 oz FR Elizabeth Jones

Description

# 2018-W Proof Silver Eagle 1 oz, FR, Elizabeth Jones Design. This exceptional 2018-W Proof Silver American Eagle represents one of the finest examples of this modern classic. Struck at the West Point Mint and graded NGC PF70 (Certificate #658181), this coin achieves the highest possible numerical grade, indicating flawless surfaces with exceptional eye appeal. The reverse features the iconic design by Elizabeth Jones, depicting an eagle landing on the moon—a powerful tribute to the Apollo 11 mission. The obverse showcases Adolph A. Weinman's timeless Liberty design, first introduced in 1916. As a West Point Mint proof issue, this coin was produced in limited quantities specifically for collectors, making it more scarce than standard bullion versions. The PF70 designation confirms pristine strike quality with mirror-like fields and frosted devices characteristic of modern proof American Eagles. This coin represents the pinnacle of condition rarity for the date and mint mark combination, making it highly desirable to both silver bullion investors and serious proof coin collectors.
