Description

1938-D Texas Commemorative Half Dollar, MS-67 DCAM. This exceptional 1938-D Texas Commemorative Half Dollar represents a significant piece of American numismatic history. The Texas Commemorative series, issued to celebrate the centennial of Texas independence, remains one of the most popular and collected commemorative issues among specialists. This particular example, graded MS-67 Deep Cameo by NGC (Cert. #44724706), displays the sharp strike and pristine surfaces characteristic of the finest examples from this historic series. The coin exhibits outstanding eye appeal with exceptional contrast between the deeply frosted devices and brilliant mirror fields—hallmarks of a true Deep Cameo designation. The 1938-D mintmark specimen carries strong collector demand, particularly in the higher grades where examples become increasingly scarce. With a starting bid of $750, this piece reflects the significant premiums commanded by well-preserved commemorative halves in the current market. This lot represents an excellent opportunity for the serious commemorative collector or type collector seeking a premium example of this classic American issue.
