Description

1948-S Roosevelt Dime, NGC MS-68 Full Bands. A superb gem example of this mid-20th century Roosevelt dime, struck at the San Francisco Mint. The *Full Bands* (FB) designation represents exceptional striking quality, with sharp, complete horizontal and vertical bands on the reverse torch design—a highly prized characteristic among modern Roosevelt dime collectors. This pristine specimen exhibits extraordinary mint state preservation, with blazing luster and exceptional eye appeal. The MS-68 grade from NGC represents a near-pristine example, placing it among the finest known for this date and mint mark. The surfaces display remarkable clean, satiny texture with minimal to no contact marks, showcasing the superior striking quality of this particular coin. The 1948-S issue is notable for its relatively low mintage and the scarcity of high-grade examples with full striking details.
