1936-S 10C, FB

Description

1936-S Mercury Dime, Full Bands, NGC MS67. This 1936-S Mercury Dime represents a desirable example from the San Francisco Mint, enhanced by the presence of Full Bands (*FB*) on the reverse fasces. The Full Bands designation indicates sharp, complete horizontal bands on the bundle of rods, a feature that significantly elevates collector appeal and rarity within the Mercury Dime series. Graded MS67 by NGC (Certificate #8523087008), this coin displays the luster and eye appeal expected of a high-grade Mint State example. The 1936-S is a key date in the Mercury Dime series, with lower mintage figures compared to many Philadelphia Mint issues of the same year, making quality examples particularly sought after by type collectors and series specialists. The combination of the San Francisco provenance, Full Bands designation, and strong technical grade makes this an attractive offering for collectors pursuing premium examples of this popular twentieth-century American coinage.
