1952-S 50C Washington-Carver, MS

Description

1952-S 50C Washington-Carver Commemorative, MS67 NGC. This 1952-S Washington-Carver half dollar represents one of the final issues in this popular commemorative series, struck at the San Francisco Mint during the program's closing year. The Washington-Carver commemorative, authorized to honor the achievements of both Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver, was produced across multiple years and mint marks, making individual dates and mint marks of numismatic interest to specialists and type collectors alike. Graded MS67 by NGC (Certificate #8664088009), this example exhibits the strong luster and sharp striking detail characteristic of high-grade commemorative half dollars from this era. The MS67 designation places this coin in the upper echelon of preservation, with only light surface marks consistent with the grade. The San Francisco mint mark adds to the appeal for collectors seeking complete sets of the series. The Washington-Carver commemorative series continues to attract dedicated collectors, and well-preserved examples such as this MS67 specimen remain desirable for both type sets and specialized commemorative collections.
