1949-S 50C, MS

Description

1949-S Kennedy Half Dollar, MS67 NGC. This attractive 1949-S half dollar represents a desirable example from the San Francisco Mint, certified by NGC at the MS67 grade level. The 1949-S is a moderately scarce date in the Walking Liberty series, with lower mintage figures compared to many other years of the decade. The MS67 grade indicates a coin with exceptional eye appeal and only minor imperfections visible under magnification, reflecting strong luster and well-preserved strike characteristics. Half dollars from the late 1940s are increasingly popular among collectors assembling complete Walking Liberty sets, as many examples from this period have seen significant wear or have been melted down over the decades. This certified specimen represents an opportunity to acquire a premium example of this transitional date, with the technical grading and encapsulation providing confidence in both grade and authenticity. NGC Certification #8663945009
