1947 50C

Description

1947 50C Half Dollar, NGC MS-67. This exceptional 1947 half dollar represents a premium example of post-war American coinage. Graded MS-67 by NGC (Certificate #2182329002), this piece exhibits the strong strike and lustrous surfaces characteristic of high-grade specimens from this era. The 1947 half dollar holds particular appeal for collectors seeking quality examples from the immediate post-World War II period, when American mint production resumed at full capacity. The MS-67 grade indicates near-gem quality with only light imperfections visible under magnification. At this grade level, the coin displays excellent eye appeal with well-preserved mint luster and sharp detail throughout. The 1947 date remains popular among both type collectors and those building complete date runs of Walking Liberty half dollars, the final year of this iconic design before the Franklin half dollar series began in 1948. This certified example offers collectors confidence in both authenticity and grade, making it an attractive addition to a quality half dollar collection.
