1936-S 10C, FB

Description

1936-S Mercury Dime, Full Bands, NGC MS-67. This exceptional 1936-S Mercury dime represents a significant offering for the serious collector of early twentieth-century United States coinage. The piece has been certified by NGC with a grade of MS-67, indicating a well-preserved example with minimal wear and eye appeal befitting the grade. The Full Bands (FB) designation is particularly noteworthy, as this variety classification denotes a sharper strike on the reverse fasces, a feature that becomes increasingly scarce in higher grades. The 1936-S mintmark places this coin among the later San Francisco Mint issues of the Mercury dime series, a period during which quality could vary considerably. The MS-67 grade reflects strong luster and excellent preservation, with only minor imperfections consistent with the grade standard. Certificate Number: 8523087008. Collectors of Mercury dimes have long sought examples with Full Bands designation in Mint State grades, as these represent the finest technical execution from the dies. This offering provides an opportunity to acquire a premium example from this popular and historically significant series.
